CIVILIZATION DAWNED ON US (FOR AFRICANS) [ VERSE II ‘2’]

CIVILIZATION DAWNED ON US

Have they not come
In iron-boats and furnished
Routes to routes, rivers to rivers?
To dawn civilization on us
Constructive lies to steal our pride
Have they not come
With ties around their necks
Suits with long trousers
To dawn civilization on us
Attractive altimes to plant pseudo beliefs?

Have they not come
With curled hairs buried beneath
their tall hats, and their mighty shoes
To Dawn civilization on us
Exotic means to bargain our conscience?

Have they not come
In foreign accents and stresses
With their ambiguous tantologies
To dawn civilization on us
Expensive words to delude thoughts.
