Poem By Elcypher_I Shall Find Peace

I Shall Find Peace.

I shall find peace,
where war had once rained,
In the battlefield of the lost;
where brute minds had 'times reigned—
In the holocaust of the survivors.
For it is peaceful there,
to see the crimson splash
of blood retiring home.

I shall find peace,
with the coming of storms,
roped in the tongue of thundery lightning,
upon which souls had once lost their knobs;
Aye, upon which hearts had quaver' to beat,
And, to this course of the coming season—
I plea for solace,
till tides rise to probe oceans.

O, Peace! I shall find,
Through the wanderers' path,
for an uncluttered mind;
Through the un-journeyed miles,
Where desolation struck her might,
Thus;
Abandon me to it;
Curse me to it;
Jinx me to it;
For it was lost—the peaceful me
seeking to outlive time.

But,
Shall I find peace
with the gentle words unclothed?
Or, with gloomy smiles that lighten...
I am left to war,
a lone war to choose
not between the right and wrong,
T's but a war for peace.
And, here I am,
A lamenting soul
In a cry for peace.
