I have no pride

Not one to brag

I am an ignorant

Of the world’s need

Won’t you give me one

Half of your thoughts

The equal of your fame

To make me a better man?

The world might need them

Your fame pride and all

Won’t the world need them

Conscience, kindness and resilience

O, I have them all !

I may not know

Or prepare to show

My need for your greed

Won’t you give me one

The world’s greatest TRAGEDY?
