Time's Pilgrimage
Standing upon the emptied boulevard
Of lifetime's pilgrimage,
Where rustling dried leaves braced season's silence.
And, the train of mem'ry
Wrecked the moment to lost serenity.
Once again, longed I for
The blissful trance of noble youthfulness.
In this derision, I
Count' the pass of time not in ticks and tacks
But, with the tickling of
My heartbeats, which slowly run a race to
Pace my breaths every
Second, and blink my eyes in a minute.
I paused as reality
Dawned on me that; _old age has knocked my door_
_To steal my heart's barometer._
